Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. 

Some sunny, hot weather is expected. Please consider wearing sunscreen and a hat and bring bottled water!

The possiblity of rain at the start of the week is forcing us to schedule practices for later on. We will get together for practices on

Wednesday and Thursday after school until 430 and Friday morning at 745. 

8 Boy's Softball

Hi Team, as we discussed last practice,  and after taking many things into consideration, I have come to a conclusion about this year's team. This was not easy, but unfortunately we won't be fielding a team this year. The combination of practice time constraints between sports, the small numbers attending practice, and having too little prep time to recruit and train new players to safely field a team, have all played a part in this decision.

Hi team, there will be a VERY IMPORTANT meeting in the small gym at the start of lunch tomorrow. Please be prompt. Depending on the outcome of the meeting, our practice schedule for this week looks like this, Tuesday 330-430 and Thursday 745-845. See you tomorrow!

The final tryout for this year's team is Thursday morning at 8am. With some luck the field will dry out by then. If you have your own glove, please remember to bring it. Also don't forget to check the blog in case of rain Thursday morning.

Tomorrow's (Monday) tryout is still on, starting at 730 Although it is soggy right now, with some luck we will still be able to proceed tomorrow morning. However if the skies are open in the morning, we may have to reschedule. Please check back in the morning by 645 to confirm if practice is still a go. Please remember to bring a glove if you have one.

Please come prepared with sunglasses, or a hat, your hair tied back and proper footwear, which could be cleats if you have them. If you have your own baseball glove and bat please feel free to bring those as well.

Grade 8 Volleyball

This is a reminder that all Grade 8 Volleyball team members must be at school by 845 Monday morning to sort out jerseys and get a short warm up in before our departure to Samuel Hearne at 8am. Have a great weekend everyone!!

GRADE 7 VOLLEYBALL

Monday the 15th is just around the corner. As a reminder, we will be departing Clairlea for about 8am. We have 2 volunteer drivers. Nayhere's mom,  and Chloe's grandma. 

We ask that all players arrive for 7:30am. Jerseys will be distributed and we will have a short warm-up. 

Our first game is at 9am at Henry Kelsey and our last game will be played around 11:15/11:30. We will return for afternoon classes but may be a little late. 

REMINDER - the top two teams from this tournament move on to the East conference finals, the very next day. We have 2 drivers all arranged for this event, who will be taking the team to Winston Churchill. This is a morning event. We will have another short morning warm-up on Tuesday at 7:30 and will depart by 8:15. If we win both games we head to the city finals. 

CITY FINALS - are scheduled for April 24 at AY Jackson

Congratulations to our intermediates for moving on to the semi finals (and also the 6s)!!

We will definitely need help with transportation, so if there are any parents able to help out (and as a bonus, get to watch some fantastic volleyball) please reach out to directly to Ms. Lowen (grade 7s) or myself (grade 8s). Ms. Lowen and I are working out a practice schedule for Monday morning and will paot that as soon as it is sorted. Congrats again teams, but now the real work begins!

Grade 8 Tournament Update

Hi team and parents, we are  almost at the big day. A big thank you to Ms. LaMug and Ms. Constanteras for volunteering to help with transportation, as we now have enough drivers. We will have a short practice before we leave on Thursday, leaving Clairlea by 830. Our first game is at 9. Please remember that this a long day so come prepared with: a water bottle, snacks, lunch and a winning attitude! See you all (students) tomorrow!
